Converse's Chuck Taylor All Star Hi silhouette has always been somewhat of a no nonsense shoe. A simplistic high top composed of canvas, lacking a liner, and featuring one logo. For the upcoming fall season, Converse returns one of their favorite treated materials, burnished suede, and applies it once again to the All Star Hi, adding perhaps a level of atypical "nonsense," in the best possible way. Burnished refers to the way the suede is treated, creating a somewhat glossy, yet rugged look to the material, which is typically utilized on winter boots and brogues. Two colorways comprise this pack - Navy and Oxblood - both perfect colors for their indicative season. The Navy model features dual YKK zippers located at the sides of the shoe, almost trimming the vamp. The black zippers are detailed with pull tassels that feature colored-stone accoutrements. Details include self-fabric logo patches, and tonal waxed laces. The Oxblood variation switches things up, opting for one zipper located at the heel, as opposed to two. The YKK zipper is black, and also comes with the stone-detailing at the end of the tassels. A self-fabric logo patch is still used, while this model opts for black waxed laces, adding a layer of contrast.
