With 2014 all but gone, KITH reprises one of its favorite collections from one year ago, and adds another chapter to its story - the KITH "New York Natives" Collection.

The "New York Natives" Collection takes a different approach than most, as the theme is delivered through a time and place, rather than a unifying color scheme or product. The setting is 1996 New York City, the prime of hip hop and street culture.

The apparel silhouettes were crafted under the concept of what clothing KITH might have designed in 1996. Multi-paneled garments with vintage colorblocking and logos, such as the original Lafayette Hoody, as well as pants bearing enlarged text really evokes the aesthetic that was prevalent at the time. To fully execute this opus, Prodigy and Havoc of Mobb Deep appear in the lookbook, which was shot by none other than the legendary Jamil GS.

Coinciding with this release is Ronnie Fieg’s latest, very limited, collaboration with PONY - the Ronnie Fieg x PONY M-110. PONY’s brand name is an acronym for “Product of New York,” which flows seamlessly with the identity of this collection. The statement has thus been worked into the design of the apparel and accessories.

The KITH "New York Natives" Collection will release this Saturday, December 20th, at 11AM EST at the New KITH Shop 644 Broadway, KITH Brooklyn 233 Flatbush Ave, and online at KithNYC.com.
