Detroit-based Burn Rubber pairs with New Balance to redesign the fusion MRT572 silhouette. Searching for a homegrown inspiration, the boutique landed on Michigan's own Vernors Ginger Ale. The entire model is designed to mimic the beverage from inside to out, as the vamp features a woodgrain deboss as an ode to the exterior of the can. The theme continues as the upper is primarily green with yellow hits. The gum sole features golden sparkles thus creating an appearance similar to the actual liquid. Additional elements such as custom lace locks and custom-printed footbeds add to the overall aesthetic.
