Based in Germany, The Good Will Out usurps Asics's background for the inspiration for their latest collaborative product - the Gel Lyte V - "Koyo." "Koyo" refers to a tree indigenous to Japan that's leaves change to a remarkable burgundy and yellow color combination as autumn turns. The Gel Lyte V mirrors this color scheme, as the upper is wrapped in a burgundy nubuck, while small yellow accents are seen amidst the formstripe trimming and the toe of the outsole. To incorporate other nature-related hues, green hits are used for the 3M formstripes, and a majority of the speckled midsole. Perhaps the most unique detail on this model is a textured synthetic material seen on the heel counter, which is meant to give the appearance of crinkled leaves indicative of the fall.
