KITH has found success by bringing quality product to the forefront, whether through our releases or by shedding light on a movement we believe in. These elements run parallel as KITH announces its latest collaborative project – the KITH x Ones Stroke Genesis Collection. Ones Stroke is a Tokyo-based menswear brand, led by Terunaga Suzuki, that crafts refined garments of unyielding quality. This project will showcase KITH’s support of Ones Stroke, who is one of only eight brands to be carried at the New KITH Shop, as well as the overall evolution of KITH as a brand. 

Each apparel silhouette was designed by KITH specifically for this project, and is noticeably different from anything offered by either brand or anything on the marketplace today. Japanese fashion was met with an American twist, as each piece is made in Japan using high quality fabrics and tailored to provide an unparalleled fit. Concise combinations of materials were used to create a cohesive collection, while each piece was designed to be a standalone item.

Outerwear pieces include the Shibuya Robe, the Yoyogi Jacket, and the Daikanyama Vest. The reversible Shibuya Robe ($450 USD) is cut long and features hidden metal snap closures and inset sleeve cuffs as a layering tool. This piece is offered in four versions – buffalo red cotton-wool with black flannel lining, navy camo cotton twill with off-white flannel lining, marled grey sweater knit cotton with navy flannel lining, and washed denim with a paisley print white cotton lining. The Yoyogi Jacket ($350 USD) reinterprets the shawl-lapel blazer, and includes cotton rib side gussets and arm panels, two herringbone tape front ties, an inset sleeve cuff, and a single rear vent. This jacket comes in four renditions – navy camo cotton twill, soft black flannel, heather grey french terry, and washed denim. The Daikanyama Vest ($350 USD) features a two-way RiRi zipper, as well as a mandarin button collar. The sleeves are removable via a hidden zipper and include a short sleeve over a waffle long sleeve. Three different models include – a cotton-wool buffalo red vest with black flannel sleeves, a quilted oatmeal french terry vest with heather grey sleeves, and a washed denim vest with oatmeal sleeves.

Two tops are offered – the Shinjuku Shirt and the Ginza Shirt. The Shinjuku Shirt ($320 USD) is elongated with side button vents, and features a zipper front with mandarin button collar. Three options are offered – navy camo and tiger camo cotton twill, and a paisley print washed denim. The Ginza Shirt is a classic button-up with a malleable wire inside the collar for customization. The body features a split hem with button closures, a left patch pocket, and two front hand pockets. There are three executions – black flannel ($250 USD), charcoal french terry ($250 USD), and stonewashed denim ($275 USD).

OThe bottoms include – the Aoyama Pant and the Ueno Denim. The Aoyama Pant ($215 USD) is modeled after our Bleecker Sweat from the knee up. The typical ankle cuff is replaced with an elastic metal button fastener, which is more suitable for autumnal footwear such as boots or chukkas. The remarkable fit is heavily tapered, while the different materials allow this pant to be dressed up or down. Five versions of the Aoyama Pant are offered – navy and black flannel, navy camo and tiger camo cotton twill, and charcoal brushed french terry. The next piece marks KITH’s first foray into denim pants – the five-pocket Ueno Denim ($320 USD). This pair of jeans is made from a vintage washed 12 oz Japanese selvedge denim, and displays a hand-distressed destruction finish. Details include selvedge pocket-trim, ornate metal shank button fly, and a leather KITH waistband patch.

Rounding out this collection is the reversible Roppongi Bucket hats ($115 USD), offered in four versions – navy camo with reverse tiger camo, black flannel with reverse navy flannel, buffalo red cotton-wool with marled grey cotton, and navy flannel with reverse paisley print flannel. The materials used this project were so premium, KITH wanted to offer them for more than just apparel, which is why we have created a home good to tie the collection together with the Ebisu Blanket ($225 USD). The blanket continues to use all the same materials as the garments, and is available in – navy paisley, navy camo, black, and buffalo red.

This entire collection is very limited, with each style being made in under fifty pieces. This project continues to tie together everything KITH has worked to achieve. The opening of our New KITH Shop was designed to display collections such as these. This project shows our evolution, and our future.
