D.C.-based Commonwealth has maintained itself for a long time, thriving in its area as the go-to streetwear boutique. For the first time, they partner with Asics to redesign the Gel Lyte V silhouette. Symbolizing the V in Gel Lyte V, Commonwealth chooses the fifth month of the year, May, as its inspiration for this model. Dubbed the "Gemini," after the astrological sign, this pair features an asymmetrical material swap to symbolize the twin nature of the Gemini. The uppers are entirely navy to mimic the dark night sky, but swap between tonal leather and suede overlays. The neoprene inner-sock is also tonal, and features a black liner. The rope laces are navy and feature a 3M weave as a nice detail. The midsole is white and adhered to a grey outsole.
