Longstanding Aberdeen-boutique Hanon partners with Asics and Onitsuka Tiger to deliver the historically-inspired Glover Pack. Hanon finds commonality in its roots with Asics as Scotland and Japan meet by the way of legendary merchant Thomas Glover. Glover was a Scottish tea trader who then made his way to Japan, and eventually lent a major hand in toppling the Tokugawa Shogunate. The Asics Gel Epirus represents Glover's Scottish roots, as purple and tropical green mesh for a vibrant colorway. A thistle-emblem is debossed on the heel wrap, as it is Scotland's national sign, and a red tartan pattern is custom-printed on the insole. Its counterpart, the Onitsuka Tiger Colorado 85, represents his journey to Japan. The upper is black and yellow, indicative of Japan being the land of the Rising Sun. The heel wraps on this model are debossed with a moustache-logo, reminiscent of Glover's thick moustache.
