KITH welcomes Parisian eco-friendly footwear brand Veja to its shelves, with their Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Founded in 2004, Veja prides itself on using durable quality materials that are all attained and created in an environmentally-sensitive fashion. Their latest seasonal collection consists of three different models, all utilizing the same Memory sneaker silhouette. The Memory sneaker is completely original, and features design cues drawn from the classic moccasin to the contemporary sneaker. The first model is composed of a dark blue flannel material, which is composed of 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled synthetic fiber, thus creating an incredibly soft feel. The other two models feature the same composition, and use a combination of cotton canvas and suede. The cotton canvas is harvested organically in Brazil, devoid of any usage of pesticides. The two models arrive in Navy and Burgundy/Orange, perfectly suited for the indicative season. Each Veja model features tonal leather face panels that were eco-tanned using vegetable extracts. The rubber sole units were constructed using safe harvesting of the bountiful Amazonian rubber trees. The Veja Fall/Winter 2014 collection is available now at Kith Manhattan and online at KithNYC.com.
