adidas Originals partners with music and fashion icon Pharrell Williams to design an original capsule collection. Having had a heavy influence on the music and streetwear cultures for roughly twenty years, Pharrell's popularity boiled over the past two years, thus leading to a new record deal with Columbia Records and a fashion contract with adidas. Combining Pharrell's colorful aesthetic and youthful exuberance with adidas Originals's timeless design, the partnership has yielded an instantly classic collection. Each of the three Stan Smiths feature a monochromatic makeup - red, black, and blue - and are composed of a rich full grain leather with a tonal rubber outsole. The leather footbed is illustrated with custom pop art, easily associated with the musician's eclectic taste, while the rear features Pharrell's interpretation of the classic Three Stripes logo debossed on the heel. Accompanying the sneakers are complementary track jackets that mimic not only the sneakers colorway, but their composition as well. The classic Track Jacket by adidas was completely redesigned by Pharrell, now titled the "Lil' Jacket." The fit has been adjusted to a slimmer more tailored cut, and the typical material abandoned for a supple handpicked nappa leather. The Three Stripes logos amidst the sleeves are self-fabric nappa leather, and are a contrasting white, retaining that vintage flair. Both the adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams Stan Smith - Red and Black will be available in-store at Kith Brooklyn, while all three colorways will be available in Kith Manhattan, along with the Lil' Jackets in Red and Black.
