Vans follows suit with the rest of the fashion and footwear world, by releasing a few of their winter styles in preparation for the impending season. The Vans Sk8-Hi receives a seasonal execution with its MTE makeup, arriving in two colorways - Dress Blues and Black. The Sk8-Hi MTE retains its original silhouette, yet various seasonal accoutrements are added, such as  Scotchgard™-treated uppers, reupholstered fleece liners, as well as a heat retention layer situated between the sockliner and outsole. Each of these add-ons were designed to protect the shoe, and subsequent wearer, from the harsh elements of winter. The outsole is redesigned as well, adding formidable traction supplemented from a classic snowboot, then integrated into a fashionable makeup. The Dress Blues model features a completely lush blue suede upper with a white leather formstripe. Brown leather accents are seen on the collar and heel pull as well. The Black alternative utilizes suede for the toebox, but opts for a tumbled leather amongst the side panels. Both shoes sit atop a white midsole unit with accent welting.
