Converse utilizes an innovative technology to revamp one of their most tried and true silhouettes - the Auckland Racer. Releasing under their CONS First String label are two new Auckland Racers that feature an Engineered Canvas Jacquard fabric upper, which harkens back to the traditional canvas upper Converse has grown synonymous with, as well as advancing this vintage silhouette into the 21st century. Two vibrant colorways are used - Mint Leaf and Fiery Coral - to symbolize summer's bright color palette. This dynamic re-imagined upper is somewhat of a paradox, as it features a one-piece single-stich upper, while still retaining its jacquard fabric sensibilities as an intricate woven detail is seen throughout. This peculiar construction creates a visual aesthetic that is both simple and complex simultaneously. The CONS Chevron logo is displayed prominently amongst the sides, while other significant details include a custom printed lightweight rubber insole, waxed rounded laces with a 3M weave (in additional to a tonal lace), and a deconstructed liner.
