New Balance creates a hybrid with their latest model - the MRT572. The upper is taken from a vintage and lesser-known model, the 572, while the heavy duty Rollbar midsole unit is supplemented from an MRT580 mode. While the 572 made its appearance as more of an everyman's sneaker, the MRT580 was for a more technical crowd. The combination thusly joins the two audiences together to create something for everyone. The upper is composed of a bright blue suede with navy leather accents seen on the "N" logo and ankle wrap panel. A grey mesh vamp is a nice contrast, while accenting the rear midsole. The Rollbar midsole utilizes RevLite technology, being wildly rugged yet remaining very lightweight. Royal blue laces with red aglets are the finishing touches on this combo-model.
