Kith pays homage to their New York roots teaming up with New Era Cap to celebrate a city tradition – the MLB Subway Series. Following their launch of the first co-branded authentic on-field Yankees cap in team history in 2015, Kith and New Era have created a full collection of limited edition 59FIFTY caps in partnership with the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. This special assortment is comprised of six total styles (three for each team), each bearing a different historical significance.

The first four styles salute the cross-city clash during the 2000 World Series. Two caps are offered in their classic style, while the other two reverse the colorways of both teams. This rare inversion marks the first time these colors have been produced for either team. All four caps feature a 2000 World Series patch on the right, a tonal New Era flag on the left, and a Kith logo on the rear.

The final two caps are the most limited, as only 144 units of each have been produced, and commemorate championship anniversaries for both teams. The Mets cap celebrates the 30th anniversary of the 1986 World Series, while the Yankees cap honors the 20th anniversary of the 1996 World Series. Both caps are adorned with a Kith-branded rose gold metal plate on the fronts, while also featuring the teams’ respective World Series patches on the right, tonal New Era flags on the left, and team logos on the rear. These two caps arrive in custom display case boxes, and are accompanied by tickets to one game of this year’s Subway Series. Mets cap customers will receive tickets to the August 2nd game at Citi Field, while Yankees cap customers will receive tickets to the August 3rd game at Yankees Stadium.

Both anniversary caps release on Friday, July 29th, and will be sold in-store only, with the Mets cap available at Kith Manhattan and the Yankees cap at Kith Brooklyn. Upon purchase, customers will receive tickets to a Subway Series game, where they will pick up the cap at Kith’s one-day pop-up shops at Citi Field on August 2nd and Yankees Stadium on August 3rd. Additionally, both pop-ups will carry limited stock of the other four caps. The four 2000 World Series caps will release on Saturday, July 30th, at Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn, and KithNYC.com.

The collaborative lookbook was shot by 13th Witness at Citi Field and Yankees Stadium and features two New Era ambassadors: Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom and Yankees set-up pitcher Dellin Betances.
