KITH Ops Lookbook
Our latest seasonal offering for 2015 is a military-inspired collection aptly titled KITH Ops. The wide-ranging wardrobe assortment is comprised of original KITH apparel silhouettes in addition to collaborative Nishikawa outerwear and Ronnie Fieg footwear.
The collection is inspired by vintage 1940’s military garments retrieved from Japan by KITH founder Ronnie Fieg. The 60-year-old battle-tested artifacts influenced the overarching material execution and color palette for the collection, as KITH developed a new washing technique to capture this naturally faded and war-torn aesthetic. Each silhouette was designed using a connective thread of stitches, patterns, and hardware to create a cohesive appearance, thus mirroring the uniformity of battalions. Tops and bottoms are crafted from either heavily washed cotton ripstop or chemical washed terry to deliver a very unique utilitarian look and feel.
This seasonal offering debuts an all-new silhouette between Ronnie Fieg and Filling Pieces – the RF-Mid II – an update to his previous RF-Mid. The RF-Mid II is offered in both wheat and black colorways, composed of premium nubuck, shearling lining, and features a never-before-seen “Space” sole unit.
The lookbook for KITH Ops was shot in Tokyo by renowned photographer 13th Witness, and modeled by Junya Matano (of Caminando) and Poggy Kogi (of United Arrows & Sons).
The KITH Ops collection is available on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11AM EST at Kith Manhattan (644 Broadway), Kith Brooklyn (233 Flatbush Ave), and KithNYC.com.
