KITH x Aimé Leon Dore Chapter 1
KITH partners with fellow New York-based brand Aimé Leon Dore to release their first collaborative collection, aptly titled Chapter 1. As good friends and company founders, Ronnie Fieg and Teddy Santis explored the concept of perseverance in extremely competitive environments, eventually finding an analogy between the world of fashion and professional boxing. Inspired heavily by Muhammad Ali and other fighters of this respective era, a boxing theme is carried on throughout the collection. Key apparel silhouettes were selected from each brand, and then redesigned in collaboration to deliver a look synonymous with both KITH and Aimé. Aimé’s Astoria Robe has been updated, featuring a two button front placket, while the Hillside Crew features subtle reverse terry branding on the chest. The Hollis Hoody reimagines KITH’s Frayed Hoody by adding a waffle-thermal lining to the 380 gsm cotton French terry body, while the tailored cotton rib Roosevelt Pant also receives a waffle-lined treatment. Rounding out this collection is a simple yet classic beanie. Each garment is offered in both black and oxblood colorways, and are named after streets in Queens, NY that played a significant role in the lives of Santis and Fieg.
The full 10-piece collection will release this Friday, January 9th, exclusively at the New KITH Shop 644 Broadway, KITH Brooklyn 233 Flatbush Ave, and online at KithNYC.com at 11AM EST.
